F.A.Q.
Is a private boat tour worth it compared to a group tour?
Absolutely. A private tour offers total flexibility. Unlike group tours with fixed schedules and crowded decks, a private rental allows you to choose your swimming spots, spend more time in your favorite towns, and enjoy the undivided attention of your local skipper. It is the best way to experience the coast in peace.
Are fuel and skipper fees included in the price?
Yes. At Ragi Tour Sorrento, we believe in total transparency. Our prices for all private itineraries (Capri, Amalfi Coast, and Sunset) include the professional skipper, an assistant, and fuel. There are no hidden surcharges or "surprises" at the end of the day.
How do we visit the Blue Grotto during a private Capri tour?
Your private boat will sail to the entrance of the Blue Grotto. To enter, you must switch to a small, government-regulated rowboat (the only vessels allowed inside). Please note that the Blue Grotto entrance fee is paid separately to the rowboat operators, and entry is always subject to weather and sea conditions.
Can we visit both Capri and Positano in the same day?
While it is technically possible, we generally recommend choosing one or the other for an 8-hour tour. Combining both means spending a significant portion of your day traveling between locations. To truly enjoy the "Dolce Vita" pace—with time for swimming, lunch, and exploring on land—focusing on one area is a much better experience.
What is the cancellation policy for bad weather?
Your safety is our priority. If the Coast Guard or our captains determine that sea conditions are unsafe, we will attempt to reschedule your tour for another day.
Do we have time to go ashore and explore the towns?
Yes! All our full-day tours include dedicated time (usually 3 to 4 hours) for you to disembark and explore Capri, Positano, or Amalfi. Your skipper will drop you off at the main pier and coordinate a pick-up time that suits your schedule.
